Bakugo's biggest failure is that his capture led to the events that made All Might retire. Obviously the reason that All Might had to fight was Shigaraki and the League kidnapping Bakugo, but All Might successfully saved Bakugo from that threat. Shigaraki and the League were caught dead to rights by All Might and the hero group at Kamino. Wrong! Bakugo learns that the mysterious super powerful quirk Deku learned is actually All Might's quirk. So basically the person that Bakugo always bullied turned out to be a better hero, a stronger person and the one chosen by their idol, while Bakugo, who always considered himself stronger, is the only reason said idol is now retired.
